Its not very usual that you think about a film after watching it more than 24 hrs ago. Last night it was '10 items or less' starring Morgan Freeman. The star cast includes a beautiful girl and a few brilliant cameos but i did not notice the names as i was not sure this is the film i am going to watch till the end which happens usually when i am looking for a film on TV. the first thing that attracted me towards it was off course the unusual name. As i started watching it, seemed like a perfect film for the time slot of prime time as they say though its not a very prime time of my schedule because i tend to eat and relax after that during that time and so don't want to watch something which demands more of my attention so it just fit the bill as the film had a very comfortable pace and not much in terms of story.
it was more about character details and being in the moment and off late i have become a fan of such movies. it was carried beautifully by Morgan Freeman who played an actor who was on a sabbatical of sorts. he handled the character with so much ease that at a point he was in two skins, a Morgan Freeman and still that character which is most important for a film to be entertaining. he was supported by the actress who spoke mostly spanish and was good with her part.
the next few hours were spent on looking for the two soundtracks that featured in the film. one the 'la receta' turned out to be an infatuation but the other one 'lincoln Duncan' turned out to be love.

it was an experience that i want to have every now and then but i guess it does not happen every day.

One Day Cricket and Hockey - Bollywood and Hollywood

Last Night when india beat England and levelled the series 3-3, i realised for the first time that i was more thrilled the other day when indian hockey team beat Korea 3-2.......and for me thats a refreshing change.

a very strange thought came to my mind during a series of thoughts crossing my mind......whats the difference between watching a Hockey Game and One Day Cricket Match.......and if you try to think like me........its quite similar to the difference between a Hollywood and and a Bollywood movie.............
* first similarity is that length of a hollywood movie is shorter than bollywood movie and same is with a hockey game and a one dayer
*during the course of a One Day Game....when it starts , you are all excited just like a bollywood movie but as it progresses excitement goes down...and in the end in some games like in some bollywood movies......the thrill again goes high.
But in a Hockey game like a Hollywood movie if its good it will hold you all along but if its not you can guess in just a few minutes.

I had many more similarities but i forgot actually........may be later.

ALI ZAFAR!!

Today was listening to his Album "Masty".......................the striking resemblence with Kishore Kumar hit me .........his voice is so similar to Kishore da and not like Kumar Shanu (No offence i m a big fan of him) Loud or Shaan (again a fan)..So Feminine......

the other day when i was listening songs of the new abhishek bachchan movie "Bluffmaster"..
i thought lets write something about it...u can say it a "review"....but its my personal opinion

the first thing i noticed about this album is the freshness of the sounds....lets say in a few tracks..but something is new about it
since there are no new songs .......u can say wats new about it.....but i see it as a bigger challenge to make people hear what they have heard so many times before
and i think this album has scored nice on that front......
good use of the sound notes from early 80's movies in some songs......it gives a slight amount of nostalgia
the voice of abhishek bachchan is utilised for the first time to promote a movie {it was done in refugee also but..lets not talk about that}
the most important job of the music is to create buzz about the movie and generate curiosity.....and "bluffmaster"....is capable of that......
..one more thing is that it speaks the same language as the movie.....u cant expect a song of "maine dil tujhe diya"..type in this kind of movie.
offcourse the biggest success is the song "BORO BORO"....GOING TO ROCK U FOR A WHILE
the other song that is going to rock discos...is "say na say na"
the only thing going against this album is the repititiveness of tracks....and such a huge number of tracks....
they must have been a little confident about the quality of the tracks..nd not stuff the album with same tracks again and again waithout any noticeable change....
all nd all a good deal......can say to listen for a month and while watching the movie.....
